Design is one of the best ways we can articulate our attraction to excellence. We all get excited about creating things that are well-considered and thoughtful. Don’t we? “Design is about creating a better everyday life for the many people. To be honest, not many people appreciate design. There’s no shame in not realizing that good design makes life better — it’s not something we teach in school. Good design is invisible until you really look for it.”

What we fail to understand?

Human experience! Most people associate design with the aesthetic value of tangible “things” we can graphics, visuals or products. Mostly how we see and touch these things. Can we touch a service? Biz rarely think about how clients experience the delivery of their services. Design elements can be sorted into three basic components: people, process and technology. Before talking about individual components, it is important to note all 3 must work together.

Why should we care about design?

Why wouldn’t we? Design is about all about details. Design is thinking about how things might work tomorrow. Design adds quality. Design is all about being invisible. Here’s a look back at where we started and the path we took. To be honest, not many people appreciate design. There’s no shame in not realizing that good design makes life better — it’s not something we teach in school. Good design is invisible until you really look for it.
